When we arrived at the Australian Museum for the opening of the two new exhibitions we received animal ears to wear and we also saw lots of taxidermy.

Mr Mike Baird, cut the ribbon to officially open the new parts of the oldest Australian museum.

The two new exhibitions, which were wild planet and the first Australians exhibition were an Indigenous Exhibition and the Long Gallery Exhibition.

While we looked through the exhibition, Derek who was a tour guide, gave us a tour of the indigenous exhibition. He told us about how the Aboriginal people caught fish and what the totems were for.

The best part of the day was when Ester put us in groups and made us do fun activities. One of them was putting certain animals in a habitat that they belong in.

I look forward to coming back to the museum and seeing more things!

When we arrived at the Australian Museum for the opening of the two new exibitions we got animal ears to wear while we were on TV. Mr Mike Baird, who cut the green ribbon with his sort of golden scissors to officially open the new parts of the oldest Australian Museum. The two new exibitions, which were Wild Planet and the First Australians, were an Indigenous exibition and the Long Gallery exhibition. While we walked and looked at stuff in the exibitions, Derek who was a random staff member there, gave us a tour of the Indigenous exibitions. He told us about the totem poles and how they went fishing. The best part of the day was when we stood behind Mr Mike Baird with all the cameras and stuff. I look forward to coming back and seeing all the stuff that's coming.
