No school in Australia has uniforms quite like Hazelbrook Public School. They say they're the first school in the country to use 100% fair trade uniforms. But what does that mean? The kids from Hazelbrook walk us through it.

Fort street should support fair trade uniforms, because it will help the people who don't get enough money in their pay, it is also a wonderful thing to do.

If you were in the position of a worker that doesn't get paid the right amount, you would wish to be making clothes for HazelBrook public School.

Our school should support fair trade uniforms.

I think f.s.p.s should support fair trade because the people that work there only get 1 dollar a day for working more hours than a normal day at work and if did support them they could at least get payed a fair amount of money and we might get a something back such as a pencil, pen or even a note saying thank you

I want fair trade !!! I don't want fair trade!! what do you think??? I think nearly everyone was wondering where our clothes come from ?? Fort St PS should support fair trade.
Because everyone was treated well, paid fairly and had batter working conditions.
For example, imagine that you work more hours than your friend. But you get the same paid. How it feels ??
I want Fort St PS to became the next school after Hazelbrook in Australia to have fair trade uniform.

Do you think we should support fair trade?

We should because it could help people who are homeless and other communities.

For example what if we didn't do fair trade it might effect other communities that are in need and the environment.

Also it gives other people that are in different countries a little bit more money because they don't receive that much money when they work like we do.

This is why I think we should support fair trade!

What is fair trade? Fair trade is when everybody earns the same amount of money and is treated well. Fort Street Public School should support fair trade!
This is because everyone who helps earn the same amount of money and they are treated better then usual. You might expect that it is no big deal. WRONG! If you don't get paid fairly what happens?
Lets say that someone younger then you has a different job, he doesn't work as long as you but instead of earning the same amount, he earns twice as much as you.
See how much we should support fair trade. supporting fair trade is important, because every body is equal.

Imagine you are making clothes to somebody to give you money, but they won't give you money. There are people right now that are making clothes for very little amount of money. We should have a fair trade in Fort St. because right now people is begging for more money and they don't even have luxury houses like we do. That is why we should do a fair trade.

Yes because we can support the Indian peapel who have poverty that make our uniformes we can help and they only get $1 a year that will be 365$ because 1$ dollar can buy nothing and they only make a dollar a day so yes we should. Support the Indian and fair trade.

Did you know that almost everyday a person dies in poverty?
Fort street public school uniforms are made by people in poverty and that is unacceptable. I believe that our school should have fair trade uniforms. Imagine arriving at work every day and working for way more hours than you should and only recieving $1 for that. Would you enjoy that? no one would. With fair trade everyone is given the right amount of money and has right amount of working hours. There for our uniforms would be made by someone with the right working conditions. In conclusion I think fort street public school should have fair trade uniforms.

Imagine living on $1 a day.
people in poverty are most likely making FSPS's uniforms they only receive 5% of what money they should receive they make $1 a day. It is easy to support these people in poverty. Support fair trade.

Fair Trade is a win win situation. Not only do we make sure people who make our uniforms are paid correctly and work in the right conditions but our uniforms are softer and better quality. A bonus is the uniforms are great for the enviroment.

Fair Trade could be a major help to fsps's community . it helps people in poverty, better quality for us, and its great for the enviroment

People in poverty only receive 5 percent of profit that the company makes.Fort Street should support fair trade. Why?Because like the school Hazelbrook said, people in poverty only get 5 percent of profit the company makes which is like making 1 dollar a day.Lets just say people who are poor receive less chocolate bars then other people. Is that fair?No it isn't.Thats why we should support fair trade

Bang, Grr, Crash
That's the sound of fort streets uniforms being made in property. People work over hours in factories only to receive $1 per day .

Hazel Brook ps was the first school to in Australia to have fair trade uniforms and they claim that their uniforms are softer and cooler.

What is fair trade? You might ask, well it's when the people who make your clothes are treated fairly and have axeptable work conditions.

I think that F S P S should get fair trade uniforms because people cider with more than 5% profit .

It's better to have fair trade. What you don't know what fair trade is well it when the people who make peoples cloths are well paid but most people in poverty only get $1 a day for making hundreds of cloths. If Fort street had fair trade uniforms the people who make our have better working conditions for example if people get paid an acceptable amount of money then our cloths may be better for the enviroment and we know that our cloths are made by well paid people that can feed their familys. That's why Fort street should do fair trade uniforms.

What is fair trade?
Well today I'm here to tell you all about it.

If you don't know what fair trade is,well, fair trade means that the people who was part of making the product was given a fair amount of reward and was working in good condition, but most people get an average of 5% only!!!!

I think fort street should support trade because as the video that our class said that it would be softer and comfortable,we would know how our uniforms were made and how the people who made it was treated.

For example less people would die from poverty and if our school supported fair trade we could donate money or fabric to help make more products.
And that's why we should support fair trade.
If you agree with me then good for you.

It would also be cool if you could install adobe dreamweaver or just use notepad to teach the students in tech club how to do javascript, html, css, ruby and javascript. maybe you could teach them photoshop as well. or maybe go to tynker (block code language) and when you create a project, there should be a javascript button that shows the scripts (in javascript) and their functions!
thanks,
Archie Gee
